Intertops is one of the pioneers of internet wagering. Started in 1983 as a toll-free phone betting service, Intertops took the first ever internet sports wager in 1996 and has been in the business ever since.
This longtime player in the offshore world introduced a no-download mobile client several years ago to its international and US player base. The platform will work on just about any mobile device that has an internet connection, including Android, iPhone, and other devices.
In addition to its sportsbook, Intertops offers an online casino and poker room. However, these are not available in mobile versions. While it doesn’t openly accept US players, (players can get an invitation if they know a friend who plays there) those who already have accounts can continue to bet there. Intertops accepts players from most other countries in the world and is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC).
Top Features
Intertops has been a top sportsbook since the dawn of online gambling, and is also one of the most trustworthy. Players have never had to worry about withdrawal issues, and the sportsbook continues to lead the US market in check speeds.
With that being said, Intertops does not offer much for the mobile bettor. It’s hard to say that they have an application at all. Basically, they have a purely text-based interface, one that does not do a sportsbook of its caliber justice. With regard to features, little stands out.
The betting platform is easy to use and straightforward, but clearly archaic for today’s markets. The best attribute for the application is simply that it allows players to bet every market available on the Intertops.eu desktop page.
Basic features such as account history, pending wagers and the ability to deposit and withdraw via certain methods are also available. The application seems to be bug free, and while it is certainly not flashy or innovative, it does seem to run rather quickly.
Presentation
In terms of overall presentation, the betting platform is the worst we have seen online. It is essentially pages of text, and not much of a sports betting “app.” There is little to be excited about from an aesthetic perspective. Presentation is not necessarily related to function or capability, and in that regard the platform does perform adequately.
The setup for different bets – such as parlays and teasers – is certainly not optimized for mobile betting, but it gets the job done. Overall, it would be hard to find a more outdated looking mobile platform than Intertops’ current product.
Betting Markets
Because it has such a large international and US player base, Intertops has a massive list of betting markets. Just about every league in the world is available for betting, from popular US sports such as the NFL and NBA, to English Premiership soccer action. While this is not accessible via mobile, Intertops has over 1000 events per month available for live betting.
For US players, the betting options are excellent. Players can bet parlays, teasers, round robin wagers, and much more. There are loads of futures for each major league across the world, and lots of game day player and team props.
Bonuses and Promotions
First time depositors at Intertops will receive a 25% deposit bonus up to $100 on their first deposit. There are also regular reload bonuses and plenty of year-round promotions for sports bettors. Each month there is a long list of different promos for that month’s leading events.
Final Thoughts
In the vast majority of sportsbook related categories, rating Intertops poorly would be a crime. The book is one of the best in the world, but it has clearly fallen short with its mobile platform. Hopefully, it is working to improve its mobile offerings and will have a better platform out within a year or so. It is a shame that Intertops did not put more thought into it, but this is still an excellent sportsbook option for bettors worldwide.
